Accucut Craft -- Build a Birdhouse Album -- Halloween style!

I used SKU # CM508NHSJ from Accucut Craft to create this adorable Halloween Mini Album.

The die comes complete with the picket fence and cut outs for the front and back of the "house". I used studio G clear Halloween Stamps along with some others from my collection to create this book.

I also used many die cuts and die cut tags inside of the book for greater detail. I will (hopefully) post more pictures and even a video of this project tomorrow. There are a few more finishing touches I want to put on the binding to bring the project together.

I am very proud of the way it turned out.

I have spoken with my birth mom twice today. Marissa from the Georgia Adoption Reunion registry called just to let me know it was her last day there.

She is moving on to another position with the Department of Human Resources and will be working with foster families. I do hope she keeps her promise and will keep in contact with both myself and Dorthy.

Please be safe, Hurricane Irene will hit us sometimes tomorrow early evening. We have been preparing our home most of the day and even have a generator to keep that sump pump running. I pray for every one affected by this storm. Please be safe.

Fun Halloween card!

Happy 4th of July!

Like many of you, our family celebrated the 4th of July and the Independence of the USA witha huge bbq.

Mike had both of our smokers going at full speed, we enjoyed, smoked chicken, brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Our friends, neighbors and family joined us last night for the wonderful meal.

Many brought specialty side dishes and deserts, every thing was just so yummy!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.. Let's start the week off right with a bang shall we. It's the last Monday in June so here is my last project for the month.

I used Nixie for my card and I used a kit from another DT I am on if you go to my blog you will see where that is.

Anyway i think the colopurs mesh perfectly. I also distressed pretty much all of the card. I added a piece of ribbon to give it a bit of pizzaz. So here she is I hope you like her. Just so you know blue is my favourite colour and that's why i picked it for this card :)

Good sunny saturday morning to you at least i hope it is sunny where you are. The pool in our town just open up yesterday so that means swim lessons start on monday for my son. He is not very happy about it cause he is very nervous about being in the water without his life jacket but hence the reason he is in swim lessons so he can learn to swim without it.

Anyway i am here to share another amy brown creation with you using alyssa fairy new this month to the queen kat store. I used papers from october afternoon and some nice white ribbon for this card. Good morning so late for my posting i complely spaced it last night. My hubby bought me a new dishwasher and we spent most of the day yesterday trying to install it to no avail cause we could not figure out how to turn the water off to our house. So it might be monday before we can install cause it looks like we might have to call the city about turning the water off.

Anyway you did not come here to hear about my woes you came to see an amy brown card. This week i am featuring alyssa. I used smooch on her wings to give them a soft blue glow to go along with the pretty paper i used from mariposa stack from dcwv. You can pick up your own alyssa stamp at the Queen Kat Store. Happy Memorial Day to all my American friends.We had our holiday here in Canada lasy Monday it was Queen Victoria day or as we call it here the may 2 - 4 weekend ( it usually falls on May 24.

Anyway today I get to show you Nixie by Maigan Lynn. I just love her she is so pretty and so versatile. She could be a goth fairy but I went a little less gorth with her.. I used a lot of different products on her and I will list them at the end so you can see what all went into creating her. Without further ado her is the beautiful Nixie.

Queen Kat on Tuesday with a written tutorial!

Once again Queen Kat does not disappoint with her beautiful stamps! Maigan lynn outdid herself when she drew up this beautiful lady.

She reminds me of a brides maid and with my Step -sons wedding in just under a year, I'm starting to think of favors I can do to help the couple out.

This would certainly make a beautiful brides maid gift!

You will need:
Acrylic photo frame (3 1/2"X5")
Small calendar
Stamped Image
patterned paper
flowers, glue, ink adhesive

Stamp image onto white card stock and color with your preferred medium. Sponge the edges and attach the focal image to a coordinating card stock. Sponge these edges as well. Add stickles and the butterfly.

Randomly stamp swirls onto 3 1/2X5" patterned paper, sponge edges and insert inside where the photo would normally go. Stamp swirleys onto another 3 1/2" X 5" card stock, attach flower (for the pull) and the calendar. Sponge all edges. Attach the flowers on the photo frame using EG6000 adhesive. Use Redliner tape for attaching the note pad.

The entire project took me under 10 minutes to complete. Don't forget to visit Queen Kat for these and other wonderful stamps! Stamp happy and be a blessing!

It the final saturday in may that means one last sample with the new amy brown fairies. This is the fairy with kitty again. I paired her up in some happy warm spring colors. The flower paper is american crafts and the image of course can be picked up at the Queen kat store.

Hey there! Today I wanted to share with you an altered frame I made using Amy Brown's Spell Caster fairy stamp.

I painted the background first then added using mod podge lots of scraps of fun papers. Over that I stamped some Queen Kat Designs stamps. The flowers are from Prima.

Butterflies on parade Queen Kat -Maigan Lynn on Tuesday!

Hello friends!

It is time to think outside the "card" for today's fun project. If you follow my personal blog, You know that I have been on a shrink plastic binge for a while now.

I love the stuff. I stamped the unicorn from Maigan Lynn stamp design sold by Queen Kat. I stamped the unicorn onto the slick side of the shrink plastic using staz on ink, I flipped the piece over and colored with my copic markers.

Then I followed the manufacturer's instructions and shrank the piece. To make sure it was clear, I heated the piece until all the dull color was gone and the charm was translucent. Before shrinking I did punch a hole toward the top so I could hang it onto the bracelet.

I strung beads from my collection and added the charm. I thought this piece was just adorable. I will be sending this as a surprise for my niece, Melissa.

Hi fellow Amy brown fans well it Saturday again and the weather here in my neck of the woods is just gorgeous. Spent my Friday afternoon building planter boxes for my raised vegetable garden. This week i made a card featuring amber and i paired her up with a orange and yellow color palate. I colored her with copic markers. Happy monday everyone.. I hope you had an awesome weekend. I know I did.

Today I am showing you Libby by Maigan Lynn. She is such a versatile girl I really love how I was able to use her for this card I am about to show you.

I decided to make an Easel Card and go for a punk look with it. If you would like step by step intruction I will include them at the end of the post for you so you can try and make your own card.

The colours I chose for the card are dark byt I think you will agree it balances out in the end. So without further ado here is my card called Live Laugh Love.

Isn't she pretty I love how it all came together.

Now for the instructions

1. ( depending how big of a card you want I'll tell you the dimensions of mine)
Cut a piece of card stocK 7 x 12. Measure at 3 inches and 6 inches and score these lines

2. Prefold all score lines.

3. Cut another piece of card stock at 7 x 6

4. Place the 7 x 6 piece on the first fold line. Line up the edges and adhere the pieces together.

5. Decorate the card front

To make the easel card stand up by itself, add an embellishment or an extra layer (for this sample, it's the punched layer) the inside of your card. This that will keep the card front from closing.

It is best to have that embellishment or layer at least 1/3" into the card from the bottom up.

On this I of course used all Queen Kat Designs stamps and featured this month's Amy Brown fairies new release of Cat Fairy and Amber Fairy. I created this on a 5x7 canvas board using acrylic paints and Queen Kat images.

Maigan Lynn New Release June 11

Hi everyone! Thanks for joining me today for a new Excting relase from Artist Maigan Lynn and Queen Kat Stamps.

These stamps actually released on June 11, 2011, so don't miss out on these wonderful images!

I had a really fun time coming up with two new ways to use two old ideas.

The flowers on the card are made from Aluminum foil. I cut them out using my die cutter and the metal adhesive from tombo. They got a bit squashed, but you get the idea. The other flower is made from a piece of transparency film and glued together with platinum bond 7800 from Aleenes' adhesive.

Libby and Aquarius by Maigan-- new Queen Kat release!

Queen Kat, has once again come up with some beautiful Stamps designed by artist Magain Lynn.

My house is in the middle of a remodel and my craft area is being infringed upon by stuff from the heating and air closet contents.

Libby and Aquarius by Maigan where actually released on May 1, 2011. My day to post to the blog is Tuesday and I get to share these wonderful projects with all of you.

For the birdhouse, I had recently purchased the metal bird house from my local arts and crafts store, painted it to the color I wanted. Stamped Libby onto a piece of transparency and put her inside along with some flowers, bling. The top is decorated with handmade flowers, and a 3D transparency butterfly. It the final saturday of april and since i had an extra saturday this month I decided i would ink up one of my older Amy brown fairies from a few months ago. Thios one is dreamer and she is by far one of my favorite amy brown fairies. She really easy to color up and create a pretty background with. My papers are from in my minds eye love nest. Hello Friends!

Today's post for Queen Kat is so put together at the last minute. Much to the surprise of Mike and I we found our contractor and one of his men here when we returned from Church on Sunday. They where busy getting the post holes for the front deck dug so that the inspector could come out on Monday.

Then we ran into a problem, Even though they called for the Inspection on Monday, the county seat and offices are closed. I knew school was closed, but the dump, and all offices closed, that we didn't know. So that moves everything off until April 26.

Which means this house will be a flurry of activity. AC guy, Siding guy, decking guys, all will be here tomorrow. My head hurts just thinking about it. Hey progress either creeps along or comes in leaps and bounds.

Ok, backto the subject, I put this slide show of the projects I have made for Queen Kat since beginning with them on Janurary 1, 2011. Sunset Mermaid x 3

Happy Easter Monday everyone I hope you had a good holliday and spent it the way you wanted with the ones you love.

Today i am going to show you my 3 different versions of cards I made using Maigan Lynn's gorgeous Sunset Mermaid. Whis is available in the QKD store for your convience.

I used different colours on each of the cards. Different papers for each as well

The first card I used darker pinks and greens and blues to help bring out the image better

The second card I used browns and oranges, it made be a little odd but I used Imaginisce Animal Crackers Line for this card I think it worked perfectly

This last card is an Easter card I made using the basic Grey Two Scoops Line. Instead of using ribbon I used normal pink sewing thread as trim.

I kept the design pretty simple with just a touch of pattern paper and ribbon. Asypn is colored with copics and then i used my circle and scallop nestablties together. Today's dream Journal is made using the Sun Set Mermaid from Queen Kat Stamps. She is just a beautiful image. I had a blast coming up with this idea. This project can be yours.

All you have to do is leave a comment on my personal blog and I'll draw a winner on Thrusday. So good luck!

I used some of the paper from my personal collection, all edges are sponged with chocolate ink, and other embellishments include glimmer mist, brads, and ribbon.

The paper pad inside of the folder is a staples brand mini junior legal pad in pink. I covered up the top with some of the paper I had left over from the rest of the project.

Step by step directions:

Dream Mermaid Journal

Supplies: Mini Junior legal pad,

Mermaid stamp

Patterned paper and card stock of your choosing

Instructions:

Cut card stock 1/2” larger than the mini note pad, by 12”. Using the note pad as a guide gently fold the card stock over the legal pad, then using a bone folder fold in those score lines. Cut off any excess, now is also a good time to use a die for the edge or a punch for more decoration.

Use patterned paper of your choice cut to the exact size of the note pad, sponge edges and tape over the top flap. Adhere the pad to the inside right of the back cover, spray with glimmer mist in dazzling diamonds.

On the left hand side, measure the panel and cut solid card stock then subtract ¼” on all sides , sponge edges and tape into place. Using a piece that is about 4” X 7”, patterned paper, sponge edges and attach to the card stock. For the corner, I used a 3” square cut on the diagonal and then accented this with a piece of edge punched patterned paper. This is then put into place using pop dots.

Front Cover:

I actually just super sized a card sketch pattern. Each layer is about ¼” smaller than the previous one, each layer is distressed, sponged and glimmer misted. I used Flowers #3,#4 from Sizzix to make the flower. The sentiment “dream” is printed onto a scrap of card stock and applied to the front.

The project took about an hour to make. Mermaid is stamped with Memento black ink and sponged. Other materials include pop dots, red sticky tape, ribbon, stickles, glimmer mist, glue, dimensional adhesive and flat back pearls.

Happy Monday everyone.. Today I wanted to share with you something I created in memory of my precious son Alexander. His birthday was April 7 and he would have been 19 years old.. I decided to alter a canvas and Alex was my inspiration.

I stamped the Butterfly Parade image by Maigan Lynn onto the canvas in black ink then I took scotch tape and put it over the image. I then took my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Electric Blue and spritzed the canvas. I let it dry. Then I sprited my cranberry zing T. A. glimmer mist over top of the blue but not as much. While it was still wet i took a small paint brush and blended both colours together. I let it dry. Then I took my Tim Holtz distress ink Tumbled glass and ran it over the entire canvas.

Once the canvas was dry I removed the scotch tape from my image and I started painting it with acrylic paints, I let the canvas dry once again. Then I dipped my paint brush into the electric blue glimmer mist and painted around the stamped image to give it a sky feeling. When it was dry I doodled on the canvas in pencil first and then traced over it in gold stickles, I also added gold smooch ink to the unicorn image. When everything was dry then I added butterflies and other chipboard embellies, I also added some of the Kiasercraft Pearls . I finished the project up by using Jenni Bowlin Alpha stickers and thickers for my title.. The Canvas is called " Let Your Spirit Soar" in honor of Alex.

On the look out for spring

I am sharing another amy brown card today featuring the twins stamp. I colored my twins card in pinks and greens this time around. To me it looks like this these twins are watching for spring to arrive at least here in the northwest. We are still getting cold temps at night and during the day the wind is blowing and its raining. They even keep extending the day to take studs off our vehicles cause it still snowing in the mountains. You can pick up your twins stamp in the Queen Kat Store today. Hooray for Fridays!! My card today features the new Amy Brown image Twins. I colored them with my Copics and then added the sparkle to their wings. My layout is an SCS sketch challenge from quite a few weeks ago. I keep a notebook full of layouts and sketches that catch my eye and then use them for inspiration when I'm in a stamping "rut".

Big plans for the weekend? My son is having his little friends over for a Birthday sleepover so our house will be a bit loud and obnoxious this evening! And, believe it or not, we are expecting snow overnight- YUCK! Have a good one!

Amy Brown Wednesday Twin Fun

It's Wednesday and time for another fun image from Amy Brown. This month I got to work with The Twins. So it was fun for me. I actually have twins boy/girl who just turned 5 and heading to kindergarten in the fall! Time sure does fly! Anyhow, here is a little something I did using Amy Brown's The Twins:

I used Copics to color and my pattern paper is by A Mind's Eye. Turned out to be a simple card but sometimes simplicity is the way to go.

Butterflies on parade -- with a video!

I think I must be about the luckiest girl alive! Not only do I have a great husband and family, but I get to design fun projects like this one for you guys to see, try and enjoy!

This project started with a canvase that measures 8 X 10" . I prepared the surface by using some craft arts purple paint. I allowed this to dry for several hours.

While it was drying, I stamped the unicorn (butterflies on parade) onto white card stock and colored it with copic markers, V0000,V000,V01,V04,V05.

After I colored the image, I fussy cut around it and using a decopauge medium applied it to the canvase. The next step was hot gluing all the flower peddles into place. I used dew drops for the centers. The lace around the side and around the canvase are held in place with hot glue. The pictures you see above are toward the end of the process, and the piece is still slightly wet.

I have to allow this to completely dry and place it in "Melissa's" box so it can go postal early week. I want her to get the package in plenty of time for her birthday.

I colored the Asypn fairy with copic makers and a star dust pen to outline her wings. I paired her with some die cuts with a view mariposa papers and some white ribbon. Spring Twins

Happy Friday friends! Oh spring has FINALLY come to my neck of the woods! All of our snow is gone and the birds are busy chattering away about their spring home building! Love this time of year! Here is a springy card for you. I used the new "twins" release and colored them with my Copics. I used a labels 14 nestabilities to frame it then added some glitter to their wings. Some bright yellow DP and a big bow complete my card.

Isn't she sweet? I cut her out and sat her on these cool scallops. My solid colored cardstock is from Stampin Up. The cool pattern paper I had in my stash for a while and not 100% sure where it is from, but I think it was from Daisy Bucket from a few years ago.

Butterflies on Parade Unicorn and more -- lots of pictures!

This beautiful stamp is by Maigan's stamps. Their information can be found by clicking here. This beautiful unicorn is called 'butterfly parade'. My favorite thing about this beautiful stamp is the options it offers in the coloring. I used Pink in one example and purple in the second.

Both cards also features stick pins that I made. I have just begun the process of learning to make these beautiful pin works of art. I used some beads I received in an EBay order as well as bead caps and other accessories. To be sure things stayed together, I used hot glue.

The images are colored with Copic markers and embellished with stickles ink. The paper is from my private collection.

Simple Friday

I went a little wild with my colors on this one! I used to love purple as a kid but I find it very challenging to use when I'm crafting. I colored my Sweet Peony with my Copics and then layered it on some polka dotted squares. It's hard to see in the picture but I did some fancy paper piercing in between the squares using an Ornare template. Some glitter and a two tones ribbon are the finishing touches!

Fantasy Art of Maigan Lynn

The name of this stamp is "Love never goes out of style". How true that statement is.

I love the styling of the Whimsical Ink Sorority and this stamp by Maigan Lynn. You will find that these stamps are richly detailed and so much fun to color.

I chose to use paper from the Whimsy stack by DCWV. The card base is a light green color, and then I used the patterned hearts from this set to finish off the card.

Who doesn't love Fridays?! I'm a big fan personally! Today's card features Poppies and Clouds colored with Copics, trimmed out and layered up on some School Spirit DP by Crate Paper. I also glittered up her wings and boy do they sparkle! (kind of like the 8 inches of snow that fell this week! Doesn't Mother Nature know that it is now officially spring?!) Well, that's all I have for today- I'm gearing up for a weekend of sitting on my tooshie and doing not a thing of great importance all weekend! I may even join my boys in watching a NASCAR race (yikes!).

Welcome to the middle of the week and another creation using the awesome Amy Brown fairies! Today I used Spell Caster Fairy.

I have been working on collaging and creating in art journals recently. It's so different from your basic cardmaking so it's fun to step outside my comfort zone. So this week I thought it would be fun to create something on canvas using Spell Caster Fairy by Amy Brown.
Here is what I came up with:

This is a 4x6 canvas board. I started with paints, then some stamping for the background. Added some random pieces of papers, stamped over them. Stamped and cut out the fairy, paper piecing her dress. All the images you see are Queen Kat Designs.

A Love/Hate relationship

I have a love/hate relationship with my laptop! Yesterday I couldn't get the stupid thing to boot up and spent much of the afternoon and evening trying to clean it up (again) to get it going. I love technology, especially the internet, but I get frustrated when I can't get it to work the way I want it to! Anyways, I was back at it again this morning and finally got it up and running- for now. That's why my post is so late this morning!

For my card, I used the Poppies and Clouds image from Maigan Lynn and sparkled up her dress. I colored her with my Copics to match my DP. I did a bit of paper pleating on the bottom edge to add some interest!

This is emily and her magical flute. She is stamped onto The paper studio white card stock and colored with copic markers. I cut her out to about 1 1/2" and layered her on top of an ATC. Artist trading cards measure 3 1/2" X 2 1/2". I tried to go 'springy' as I really need warmer weather. I also used some The paper studio patterned paper on this one. It is simply decorated with a rolled rose and a piece of cross stitch floss.

Sorry about the cheesy title, I just couldn't help myself! Here is a new Maigan Lynn mermaid called "sweet peony" that was just released this week. I colored her with my Copic markers and then trimmed her away from the background. I mounted her up on pop dots on an oval piece of card stock and then on some Bittersweet DP by Basic Grey. Of course there is some glitter on her tail fin and her outfit! The satin ribbon is double sided pink/dark pink and is from May Arts.

Hello friends!

It is time for a beautiful Queen Kat image, meet Emily and her flute, I want to call it her "magic" flute because she can certainly soothe the most troubled waters with her beautiful music.

For today's projects, you will need to gather up the following:

Emily stamp set,

Shrink Plastic,

Copic Markers

and your imagination!

To begin: Stamp image onto white card stock and color as desired with copic markers.

Layer her onto an orange base that has been sponged with black ink, print out sheet music (from 8notes.com) onto teal card stock and trim to size 5 1/4" X 4". Sponge the edges of this pieces, attach flower and tape as shown.

I stamped "The magic of Love" on the inside of the card. This would also make a beautiful engagement notice card.

For the pin, I stamped the image and colored it (you can also do this with the image you already colored) and place it on top of a piece of musical score you've printed out. Place this piece underneath the stamp image and scan into your computer. Using my editing program, I chose to print out the image four times onto Shrink plastic. I printed the image onto the rough side of the plastic.

After the image was printed, I allowed it to dry on my desk for about 1/2 an hour. I then trimmed out each individual image using my heavy duty scissors. If desired you can put a hole in the top center to use as a charm, earrings or embellishment on a card or scrapbook layout.

Following the manufactures instructions, I used a heat gun and shrunk the image. I did use a silicone craft mat under the image, then once it was shrank, I used my Glossy accents (inkessentials) to cover the image. While it was still cloudy and wet, I used dew drops and small glass beads to enhance the already beautiful piece. Along the outside edges I used studio G glitter glue. The piece was set aside to dry for about 2 hours. (If you've had a long day like me, this is a good time to give yourself permission to take a nap!).

After your nap, the image will be completely dry, and you will feel better! Now onto the next step. Using a pin back from your local craft store, attach this to the back of the piece using a dab of hot glue, please be careful not to burn your fingers. With all craft projects you should follow manufacturer's instructions and use reasonable caution so you will not injure yourself or burn down your house.

Fancy Framed

This is one of my favorite cards that I created this month using the Maigan Lynn Cancer stamp. I used my Copics to color her in and then layered her on some Delovely DP by Cosmo Cricket. The frame is a large sizzix die that I got on clearance and my image fits just perfectly inside of it! I added some rhinestones around the edges for sparkle (of course).

Hello! I'm here on the Whimsical Ink blog for one last time this month then I'm headed over back to the Dark Ink Sorority for the next month then I'll be back lol! Today I want to share with you a birthday card that I created using a stamp called "Cancer Zodiac" from the Fantasy Art of Maigan Lynn Collection at the Queen Kat Designs store! Of course I have to many favorites that are in the store right now but this is one of them! So go check them all out for yourself you won't be sorry!

I'm just loving the way her tail looks and all I used was a stampin up marker in strokes and it made that beautiful texture looking like a real fin! This stamp is just so sweet looking!

So, I have this card to share with you today. This is "Clarity" and she's this month's WIS kit from QKD. And....since she's a kit, you get some cute additional items and sayings to go with her....such as the "Got Beads?" one I used for this card.

For my card, I started by coloring her with Copic markers. Then I layered her on some colorful papers and added the big triple flower and ribbons.

I punched out the saying and popped it up on the bottom.

Happy saturday everyone i hope your enjoy your long holiday weekend if your one of those people who gets monday off. My son has a 4 day weekend as friday was a winter break day and monday is presidents day. Is it tuesday yet? I am sharing one of the new amy brown stamps for february this one is Jazmine and you can pick her up at the Queen Kat Store. I choose to go with a fall color scheme as kind of a farewell to the cold of winter and fall and a wish for spring weather to arrive. I hope you have a great day.

Happy Friday friends! My card for you today features Bryn and Tup and the Triple Tiara color challenge! I colored my image with my Copic sketch markers and then used some 365 Degree DP by Pink Paislee to tie all of the challenge colors together! The sentiment is from a Unity kit of the month and I used a labels 15 nestabilities die to cut it out. I'm a little conflicted about this image- I can't tell if she is happy or sad but with these bright, cheery colors I think she's doing okay! Video Tutorial How to use UTEE to create a Pin using the "Trinity" stamp

You are all going to love this project!

Before I start this post, I want to state clearly that this project is not for children. Use reasonable caution when handling hot products to avoid injury. Follow manufacturer's directions and above all, don't forget to have a great time creating! The video tutorial is available by clicking here.

The pin backs where purchased at my local craft store. The Score Tape is available from Score Pal.

Foil tape and red liner tape also work well.

The beautiful images at Queen's ink lend themselves very well to using many techniques and using them as jewelry art is no different. Unlike the stamping into UTEE this project is much sturdier and can be worn as a pin. I would seal the piece completely with crystal lacquer if you plan to use it as a charm or purse accessory.

Purchase the stamp at Queen Kat's store. Trinity is a very pretty detailed stamp and is fun to color. I hope you will try this technique and enjoy some shopping at Queen Kat.

Stamping Into UTEE -- a video Tutorial

I bet you're asking, well what can I do with the image? That is a great question. She can be adhered to just about anything. I have put the one you see above on a mini album I hope to finish up in a few days and will try to shoot a video for you guys of the finished product. I used E6000 adhesive to attach her to the front cover of my book, I kept it in place using ordinary clothes pins.

She can also be worn, when you see the step when I am trimming up the UTEE you can punch a hole in the material while it is still warm and put on a necklace, or place a pin back on it and wear it as an over sized pin. She will not be good on anything that is going to be "banged" around. This material is embossing enamel and it will crack, shatter and break. So, use reasonable caution when working with this material.

The actual time of the stamp sitting in the UTEE before I trimmed it was about 8 minutes, not 20, I should have corrected this when I started filming but failed to do so. My editing skills are coming along, I've managed to get an introduction on the video with my blog address and the address of one of the on-lien groups I belong too.

I really am not good with an exact-o knife, but once the video was shot, I gave it a try. The UTEE was very much completely cooled down and thick. I used even pressure on a good quality cutting mat and trimmed out the edges. I hope you will try this technique, and let me know how it turns out for you and share pictures and video's with me, please!

The Image is colored with copic markers. You can also make it shinny by using colored glossy accents or other medium. It does not need to be sealed, but if you prefer a glossier look, spray it with a glossy acrylic spray paint.

Hi there friends! I have a quick card to share with you today that features a new Queen Kat Designs release, Bryn and Tup! I colored Bryn with my Copics and then cut her out from the background (including poor Tup!). The layer behind Bryn is script DP from Echo Park with a SU! die cut over the top of it. I love how it gives it just a bit of interest without adding too much "busy-ness"! The base layer is riding hood red with a tiny strip of embossed dots. My layout loosely follows this weeks Triple Tiara sketch! Won't you play along with us for a chance to win some $ for the QKD store?!

Hello! I'm SO sorry that I'm posting a little late today! Lots going on here at home this last week and I just spaced it! Anyways..I'm here to post and to share with you a card that I made YAY!!!

I used the stamp this week on my card from the Fantasy Art of Maigan Lynn Collection that was just recently released at the Queen Kat Design store! She's so beautiful and it's one of my favorites!!! Sunday Starz - Clarity kit

Happy Sunday!!! I have a journal page featuring the new WIS kit "Clarity".

I created this page for the various challenges coming up this month. I started the page by writing out the different challenges, and the theme I wanted to use for each one.

Then after picking out the papers/ribbons/'bellies I wanted to use I colored each of my 3 images with Copic markers adding them to the journal page so I'd know what colors were used for future writeups.

By creating a page like this I get all the design work done up front and it's quick to then pull together the cards.

dreaming of a new day

It the first Saturday of February and i am currently in las vegas helping celebrating my niece birthday. This wonderful image is one of the new images from Amy brown this month and she is called dreamer. I used papers from Dcwv mariaposa stack. The flowers are from prima baby roses line, the punch border is from stampin up and i used my cutter bee piercing bug to do the dot pattern around the edges. You can pick up this cutie at the queen kat designs store in the amy brown section of the store. .

This card uses dry embossing and a new QKD release called Bryn and Tup with background. I made this a, somewhat, monochromatic card using a pink color scheme and Echo Park DP. To add some feminine touches to the card (I really don't think Bryn is all that feminine by the looks of her fashion choices!), I added some pink satin ribbon and some large flat backed pearls. I think that gives her a softer look don't you think?! Love how this turned out!

Sunday Starz - Bryn

Happy Sunday!!!!!

I have this beautiful vintage card to share with you today. I created it based on some new papers I bought today at Archivers. I figured since I wasn't at CHA this weekend, I'd do a little local shopping to feed my cravings.

I started by coloring Bryn using Prismacolor markers. Then cut her out with a Nesties die. I sponged "Old Paper" Distress Ink around the edges. I then layed it with some vintage printed paper that I diecut, black and taupe satin ribbon, black gems, black swirl diecuts, and a fabric rose. Super simple and she's ready to go for Valentine's Day for someone that's not all into the red, pink, hearts, and cupids.

Indian Summer

Okay, it's not really Indian Summer here but it sure feels like it after our cold snap last week!! I think the high for today is a balmy 35 degrees F. . .Actually, the name of designer paper I used for today's card is called Indian Summer (it's by Basic Grey). I colored my lovely Aries with my Copics and then added some glitter to her wings and accessories. I layered her up on some pretty in pink card stock and some burgundy paper by Bazzill.

Today I have a lovely card to share with you made with "He Loves Me He Loves Me Not".

I colored her with Copics, and then did her skirt with reinkers touched to water that I had sprayed on just her skirt area. I then cut her out and placed her on this card front created with antique rose paper and white rose ribbon.
