Mad Hatter Friday

I have created a card with In the Quiet Land of Peace Mermaid Stamp in very different colors from last week. It gives a completely different, yet still peaceful, feel. This stamp is quickly becoming one of my favorites (no, I have not said that about every single one- well, can you blame me?).

While you are at the store purchasing every single mermaid released this month because the price is so fabulous in this collection, check out the amazing variety of kits the Queen puts together. Truly, they ROCK and will unleash your creativity.

Tempting Lorali Thursday!!

Hi Everyone!!! Welcome to another lovely Thursday!!! The card I made today features a RETIRED QKD stamp but I thought she was SO beautiful I wanted to show her off anyways!! Don't forget to hit the QKD store so you can grab up the other MANY MANY beautiful mermaids that are available!!!

It's so fall like here in the NE and with Thanksgiving coming I was very much in an earthy color mood.

Annabelle is stamped in SU! grey and colored with my Copics and sparkly paint pens. I dazzled up the center of each flower with a green rhinestone and tied the main panel with wide, chocolate brown, grosgrain ribbon.
I then started on the card itself. I used a slice of SU! Real Rust and pulled a scrap of gold and striped cardstock from my scrap drawer. I stitched them down and added Annabelle's panel. Lastly I added 3 jumbo amber colored rhinestones for a little extra bling!

I hope you enjoyed my creation today!! Don't forget to celebrate with us at QKD's 3rd Anniversary Party!!!

XOXO

Tilly Tuesday with Nivia....

Isn't she soooo lovely :) This is Nivia and as soon I she arrived at my house I already had my layouts in my mind. I used some fairytale inspired paper and I pulled my colour choices from the paper and I loved how she turned out. I had her all finished then I knew she needed more....I used this gold ribbon I have had for years that I have hoarded and I knew Nivia deserved nothing but the best. If you would like to have Nivia for yourself as well she comes with  or without the background. Click here to go straight to the store and purchase her for yourself :) Have a wonderful day! Andi

Making the most of Monday

What better thing to do on a rainy Monday?  CREATE!  It is pouring here, but yet it is not cold....but that is typical for a mid November in Mississippi.

Today has been crazy with school and house work so I think I deserve a few hours to me, don't you?

Last week when I had those few hours I spent some time creating with Lidia again....she is by far one of my favorites (if that is possible).  I colored her with my copics and other markers and went with the blue scheme.

Super simple, cut her out, added a little lace and a few misc rubons (great way to use them up!), and there you have it a great card for a friend!

If you have a few minutes make sure you check out the Monday hop with QK this week! I'm sure you will love it!!!!

Have a super week!  See you next Monday!

Sunday Skilz - Autumn

Happy Sunday!!!!
Today I just have a card to share with you from this month's release. This is Autumn...and she's fabulous!!! All the details are just amazing in this image and she's just fun to color up.
I colored her using Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. The background paper was embossed using the Textile Cuttlebug folder and then rubbed with ink to bring out the added texture.
I hope she's brought you some inspiration today.
Happy Stamping,
Shannon

Saturday Challenge: Purple and Green

Woohoo! It's Saturday and that means challenge time! :) I'm so excited! And thank you all for playing along with us!

First off, the winner from last week is Carole, you can see her GORGEOUS card HERE! YAY Carole! Carole got her name in the drawing TWICE for last week since she used a QKD stamp. Carole, please email Vicki (info@katstamps.com) with your choice of a mermaid stamp and tell her you won it from this challenge.

This week's challenge is a color challenge. Your challenge is to use PURPLE and GREEN and neutrals. You can make as many cards as you want for this challenge, but be sure each one is in a different blog post or gallery upload linking back to this challenge. You do not have to use Queen Kat Designs stamps to play along, but if you do, you get your name into the drawing twice. :) Please leave a comment with the link to your creation on this blog post by next Friday, Nov 20 by 5pm Pacific time. Winner will be announced during next week's challenge post.

Here's my card for this week. I used the beautiful Lidia. Isn't she gorgeous? I colored her with my markers and matted her. Then I added her to a card that I covered with designer paper, I'm not sure what the paper is, it's really old and from my stash. The I added some ribbon. There's also some Spica pen to add some sparkle to Lidia.

I can't wait to see what you all make!!
